The Benefits of Accessing Green Spaces
Watermoor Point ·
In today’s world, it seems like everyone is working longer hours and spending less time outdoors. This can have a negative impact on your health and well-being. Finding ways to break up your day can be a challenge, but having access to green spaces has been shown to have many benefits, including reduced stress and improved mental health, improved concentration and productivity, enhanced creativity and problem solving.

There is a growing body of research which suggests that access to nature can help improve mental health. One study by the University of Michigan found that people who live in green and leafy areas have lower rates of depression than those living in urban areas with less greenery. Another study from the University of Essex found that people who spend time in green spaces are more likely to feel relaxed and less stressed than those who don’t.
Talking to our business community, one of the most enjoyed features of Watermoor Point is our outside space. The River Churn wraps around our landscaped gardens and throughout the warmer months, the picnic benches provide a great spot to enjoy lunch in the sun. Our gardens are also a great venue for our social events and BBQs, enjoyed by our resident businesses and local business community.

Although we are located just minutes from the centre of Cirencester and close to the motorway network, businesses who base themselves in our serviced offices and co-work area, have said that feel like they’re in a rural retreat, far from the hustle and bustle of city life.
