HWM Building Services is a mechanical and electrical design and installation firm who have been operating in the commercial building industry for 14 years.

HWM moved into Watermoor Point in 2022 and occupy one of the largest offices in Watermoor Point in one of the points of our recognisable W shape.

We spoke to Martina Richt, Finance Director at HWM, who told us about why they chose Watermoor Point, and what they’re enjoying about being here.

Room to grow

“We are growing fast, and our old office just couldn’t accommodate the space we needed. Our office here is great, we have enough space now and a bit of room to grow, and we have an internal meeting room which is good for client meetings or as a breakout space.

“We also love that there are lots of meeting rooms and communal spaces outside of our own office that we have access to. It means that we have the option to move around and utilise other spaces, which is another plus!”

Location

When asked why they chose Watermoor Point, Martina explained that “the location is fantastic, being halfway between Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud, Oxford and Swindon! It’s an easy commute whatever direction you come from.

“The site is great, it’s got lots of parking and the green spaces are amazing. It’s so nice to be able to go and sit outside for lunch in a lovely garden.

Management team

“The best thing about Watermoor Point though is the people. The management team are so helpful, anything we need or any issues we have are dealt with almost instantly, and always with a smile on their faces. This also applies to the facilities management team, who are absolutely brilliant, and it’s great that they’re based on site too.

Community

She describes the community at Watermoor point as “a fantastic and diverse group of businesses here. People are really friendly, so it’s a lovely positive environment to be in. I love bumping into others in the hallway or the business lounge, and the dog friendly policy means there’s always a dog around to brighten the day!

Snack bar

“I also personally love the snack bar and coffee machine. The coffee is delicious, and it’s even better that it comes from a local roaster too. It’s lovely to know that you are part of a place that is supporting the wider local community.

Company vision

“Watermoor Point reflects where we are going as a company. It’s modern, flexible and mirrors the aims of our business. There is so much work being done with the community, the sustainability features are great, and they are always working to improve and develop.”
